Why is math important in computer programming?

Math help you understand the logical concepts of the computer better. I don't say that you need to know math so could do programming. What I am saying is that math helps you train your mind in thinking more logical: a=b and b=c so a=c. That's how math helped me.Math made me think much faster and logical when solving problems.
